At Marina di
Sibari, set in the greenery of a lush pinewood, lies the
Village Club Baia degli Achei. The structure,
offering 141 terraced maisonettes all en-suite and provided with
air-conditioning, telephone, TV and, on request, fridge bar, also makes a
restaurant as well as two bars, one of which in immediate proximity to the
swimming pool, the other on the beach. Guests can use various facilities:
private internal car park, three swimming pools, concert area, discotheque,
children's playground in the pinewood, boutique, newsagent's and tobacconist's,
safety deposit, welcome for small pets (on request) and finally, on payment,
doctor's surgery with established timetable and transfer service from/to the
main stations and airports. Situated just 200/300 metres from the maisonettes,
there is a beach with white sand, equipped with beach umbrellas, deck chairs,
canoes, windsurfing boards, dinghies and a beach-volleyball court. For the more
dynamic visitor, the structure offers the opportunity to practise the most
varied sports: gymnastics, aerobics, aqua-gym, tennis (evening matches on
payment), 5-a-side football, basketball, volleyball, archery, mountain biking
(on hire in the hotel itself), angling in the small lake, on payment, excursions.
An expert animation team, active throughout the summer, enlivens the holiday for
adults and children alike with games, tourneys and shows; finally, there is a
Kiddies Club (4- to 8-year olds) and a Junior Club (9- to 12 - year olds).
